I have been a runner for over 20 years, and I have run races of all distances including the 2015 TCS New York Marathon.  I prefer medium-length races including the 10K and half marathon. I have recently enjoyed exploring the steep mounain trails of Southern California.




I regularly brew my own beer and enjoy developing new recipes.  I prefer moderately alcoholic malt-focused beers and German lagers. I am a recognized BJCP beer judge, and I have also tried my hand at making wine and mead.

My signature beer is Panther Stout, an American stout made with hops grown on my family's farm, Panther Branch Vineyard.

Coast Live Oak


I practice the art of bonsai in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.  My collection largely consists of trees that can tolerate the hot, dry climate including olive and the native Coast Live Oak.
